HOW THE BOARD IS RUN
With over 1000 members, the Board is run on self-help basis with contributions from the language lovers and the fund-raising campaigns launched on the eve of Mega events. The Board has an office at Rampura Gate (Peshawar). The Board maintains a bank account with a maximum degree of transparency.
OCCASIONAL PUBLICATIONS
The board has published more than around 300 publications so far, including the two voluminous Hindko dictionaries by Professor Dr. Elahi Bakhsh Awan and Sultan Sakoon. A Hindko songs audio cassette and CDs has also been produced by the board. It has had the honour of publishing the versified Hindko translation of the Holy Quran which has been translated by Late Abdul Ghafoor Malik. There are more than 100 books on different genres of the Hindko and other languages, in pipeline.
REGULAR PUBLICATIONS
The newly constituted Gandhara Hindko Academy is executed by Gandhara Hindko Board and this Academy brings out twelve periodicals which are Hindko Adab, Hindkowan Times, Hindkowan Online, Taarey, Hindkowan Sarkhel, The Gandhara Voice, Cheni Khana, Fatima, Watan, Khawarnama and MoTHER. These periodicals are serving as a reference material for all those interested in knowing different aspects of Hindko language and Hinkowan culture, and other regional Languages literature and cultures also.
LITERARY-CUM-CULTURAL ACTIVITIES
The Board regularly holds literary sessions on every Saturday and the number of such sittings have crossed the 700 mark. Facilitated by Ahmad Nadeem Awan and Sikandar Hayat Sikandar, the sessions critically analyze the literary work being produced in Hindko under different genres of the literature. These activities have brought the work of the classic and senior Hindko poets. These activities are playing a vital role of encouragement, and creativity in the young Hindko Writers which is directly promoting the Hindko Language.
The Organization regularly holds “Open-Air Hindko Mushairas” (Poetry Recital Sessions) to mark different occasions such as

- Mother Language Day
- International Women’s Day
- Holy month of Ramazan.
GANDHARA HINDKO ACADEMY
Gandhara Hindko Academy has been recently constituted as a public private partnership entity by the joint collaboration of the Government of KP, Department of Library and Archives and the Gandhara Hindko Board, Pakistan, Peshawar. This is a three years project funded through the Annual Development Program of the Government of KP. The main aim and objective of GHA is to promote the Hindko language, culture and literature along with other regional languages.
Gandhara Hindko Board in a meeting held on 21st March, 2015 at civil officers Mess, Peshawar under the chair of Mr. Ejaz Ahmad Qureshi, Chairman, GHB constituted a committee of eight members and Mr. Muhammad Zia ud Din was selected the Chief Executive Committee of Gandhara Hindko Board for Gandhara Hindko Academy unanimously. The responsibility of running the affairs of the GHA, the said committee was authorized.
